G2 Rakiura: two playing weeks, one entry deadline

G2 Rakiura has two playing weeks but one entry deadline. The Paraguayan Tennis Association published its announcement on October 9, 2026: the 12- and 16-year-old categories are scheduled for October 21–25, while the 14- and 18-year-old categories are scheduled for October 28–November 1. For families coordinating travel, school and accompanying a player, that split matters more than the tournament’s overall date range.

Which week applies to each category?

  • 12- and 16-year-old categories: Wednesday, October 21 to Sunday, October 25, 2026.

  • 14- and 18-year-old categories: Wednesday, October 28 to Sunday, November 1, 2026.

These are competition windows announced by the APT, not individual match times. The official tournament listing still said the schedule was awaiting publication when this information was checked. It would be wrong to assume that each entrant will play every day of their block or to assign them an arrival time.

The second week does not extend the entry deadline

The APT announcement and poster set the deadline for Tuesday, October 20 at 12:00 noon. The entry listing repeats that date and time. Families preparing for the 14- or 18-year-old categories should therefore not use the October 28 start date to decide when to enter.

At the time of checking, the page displayed “Entries open” and offered a sign-in button. The poster directs entrants to the APT website. That identifies the official channel; it does not prove that an individual application has been accepted. Before completing the process, confirm the category and affiliation requirements, payment amount and currency, and how entry confirmation is provided.

The venue is Rakiura in Luque

The announcement names Rakiura Resort as the venue. The listing’s dedicated venue section places Rakiura at América near Capitán Brizuela, Luque. That address is the useful travel reference, although the listing’s general location heading uses the label “Asuncion - ASU.”

The information reviewed does not establish accompanying-person access, admission prices, broadcasting or service availability. Families planning a visit should check those points with the organizer separately from the sporting entry process.

A short checklist before fixing the diary

  • Note the correct category block without treating it as a match appointment.

  • Complete entry before the announced October 20 deadline at 12:00 noon, and confirm the time reference with the APT if applying from another country.

  • Keep the entry confirmation and check that it names the correct tournament and category.

  • Consult the schedule when it is published, then check it again before leaving.

  • Confirm accompanying-person access and where to arrive at the club.

The practical decision is straightforward: set aside the correct week and complete entry on time; each day’s travel depends on the organizer’s published schedule. The overall calendar helps with planning, but it does not yet replace the order of play.
