G3 Área 1: a junior tennis weekend in Ciudad del Este

Ciudad del Este has a junior tennis event on the calendar this weekend: the Paraguayan Tennis Association (APT) has announced the G3 CDE Área 1 for Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Club Área 1. For families accompanying players and anyone interested in local tennis, those dates are a starting point for planning. They are not enough on their own to decide when to leave home.

What the announcement confirms

The APT article, dated September 18, and its poster agree on the three tournament dates. The announcement lists girls’ and boys’ categories for ages 10, 12, 14 and 16. These are the announced age groups, not a player list or confirmation of how many matches will take place each day.

The poster gives Tuesday, October 6 at noon as the entry deadline. That deadline has passed. No extension was verified in the information reviewed on October 8, so this article is not an invitation to enter at the last minute.

A tournament date is not a match time

If you are accompanying someone who has already entered, the key information is the current order of play and the reporting time specified by the organizers. The general announcement does not establish that every age group starts together or that every player will compete on all three days.

Before arranging transport, separate two questions: when is the match, and when must the player report? Keeping the latest organizer notice and checking for changes helps avoid planning a journey around an old image. This is practical planning guidance, not an additional tournament rule.

Want to watch? Check access first

A club hosting an event does not establish that every visitor can enter. The announcement reviewed does not specify spectator conditions, access for non-members, admission charges or match times. It would therefore be inaccurate to advertise free admission or a starting time.

These four questions can help clarify the essentials with the APT or the club before travelling:

  • Can spectators and non-members enter?

  • Are there any admission charges or access requirements?

  • Where can visitors find the current order of play?

  • Which entrance should they use, and how are changes communicated?

The APT publishes +595 984 150256 as its information contact. Direct confirmation helps refine a plan; no private enquiry was made and no admission guarantee was obtained for this article.

A chance to get closer to tennis in eastern Paraguay

The value of this date is more than a calendar reminder: it helps families distinguish the initial announcement from the details that shape their day. Once access and scheduling are confirmed, visitors can decide whether a short visit works or whether to set aside more time, without assuming a programme they do not yet have.

If watching sparks an interest in playing, see our guide to starting tennis as an adult. Its examples are in Asunción; it is not an offer of lessons at Área 1.
